Everything to know for your first visit.

Getting ready for your first public skating session? We recommend dressing in comfortable, layered clothing that allows you to move freely and stay warm on the ice. Thick socks, gloves, and light jackets or hoodies work great. Skate rentals are available at the rink, and our team is happy to help you get properly fitted so you can feel confident and safe.

Do I need to know how to skate?

Not at all! Public skate is open to all levels, including beginners.

Is there an age limit?

All ages are welcome. Children must be supervised.

Can toddlers go on the ice?

Yes, but they must wear skates and be accompanied by a responsible adult. 

Do you provide skating aids (walkers)?

Yes, skating aids are available to rent on a first-come basis. Skating aids are free except during Winter Wonderland. 

How long is a public skate session?

Most sessions are approximately 1.5–2 hours long.

Can I leave and come back during a session?

Yes, re-rentry is permitted for the session you have paid for.

Are helmets required?

Helmets are strongly recommended for beginners and young children but are not required.

Are skates available to rent?

Yes! Ice skates are free to rent, with purchase of public skating session.
